QUICKEN BILLPAY FOR MAC 2017 UPDATE
Launched Quicken 2017, a major update to its flagship financial management app with a new look for the user interface and a consistent design across the Mac and Windows platforms.It also added some new. The Bill Payment Services are provided by the same handlers as on Windows Metavante Payment Services and Bill Pay works just as well on Mac as on Windows now.

Also note that you do NOT need to subscribe to Quicken’s ”Quick Pay” or “Check Pay” or “Quicken Bill Pay” services to use ”Bank Bill Pay”, as this is provided by your bank not Quicken. I have quicken for MAC 2007 and am hooked on Quicken Bill Pay as well. The enhanced Bill Pay in Quicken 2017 for Mac means that Mac users can finally pay their bills from most banks within Quicken, including small and regional banks. Using “Bank Bill Pay” to have PNC Bank make my payments saves me a lot of “double entry” time - I used to enter the amounts in Quicken, then go to my bank’s website to actually pay the bill. When you refer to bank bill pay, I believe you are describing a web-based payment interface through your bank’s website, which is completely separate and different from the “bank bill pay“ feature in Quicken. It’s a free service that PNC provides for their customers that use Quicken, but you have to talk to them to set it up for you (and you have to use the Direct Connect method for PNC’s accounts.). Rather, I have the “bank bill pay” feature active on my checking account at PNC Bank (PNC Bank controls this on their end). The Mac app has been been updated with a new interface, said to be easier and more visually appealing without forcing users to learn new commands. (All of these options appear in a right-click menu when you’re preparing to issue a payment in Quicken). Quicken on Thursday announced the 2017 editions of its personal finance apps for Mac and iOS, which include a variety of enhancements, particularly in the core Mac suite.
If you are using Quicken Premier you will stop being charged for the Quicken Bill Pay Service within 30 days of activating your 2019. If you are using Quicken Bill Pay for Quicken for Mac 2017, no additional set up is required. Mind you, I’m NOT using the “Quick Pay” or “Check Pay” features, which are paid services provided by the Quicken company. Quicken for Mac 2017 imports data from Quicken for Windows 2010 or newer, Quicken for Mac 2015 or newer, Quicken for Mac 2007, Quicken Essentials for Mac, Banktivity. I‘ve been using the “Bank Bill Pay” features of Quicken for Mac for about a year, and it’s been great.
